1. Dry skin
Skin is one of the first areas to show physical symptoms of poor circulation. Despite getting enough water, your skin may just dry out, and your body will start to slow.
2. Skin discoloration
When your hands and feet don’t get adequate amounts of oxygenated blood you may also just notice discoloration of the skin covering parts of your body.
3. Loss of appetite
This is a less obvious symptom but it’s even a bigger problem. This is because poor blood flow to your gut and your stomach means poor digestion which leads to malnutrition.
4. Digestive problems
The digestive problem goes hand-in-hand with the loss of appetite and it is typically misdiagnosed. Gas and bloat bowel problems and other digestive issues are all symptoms.
5. Weak immune system
This is also connected to digestive problems and the lack of appetite. Blood contains nutrients including anti-aging hormones which allow your body to cleanse and repair itself. Without it, you keep getting sick and you’re aging faster.
Numbness typically happens in your hands and feet including your toes and fingers. This is very common for those who are diabetic because the sugar eats away at the blood vessels and veins.
7. Decrease memory and cognition
People don’t realize that their brain requires a lot of blood flow over 15% of cardiac output. Which is your heart and it’s so vital. It’s called cerebral blood flow (CBF). Lack of blood flow can cause memory problems, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s.
You feel dizziness when your brain isn’t getting the oxygen to keep it working efficiently. Even if you get plenty of water you won’t improve the dizziness. Some people also experience headaches on a regular basis because of a lack of circulation.
9. Decrease libido
This goes for both men and women even though a decreased libido has a lot to do with your hormones and poor blood flow. It means a lack of nutrients, hormones, and enzymes being delivered to this area. In men, it’s their private organ and thus erectile problems while in women it’s just lower sensation, sensitivity drive, and also dryness.
10. Hair loss
Due to the lack of nutrients, filled blood in your body’s extremities, new growth of hair and nails may become weak and brittle.
11. Varicose veins
Poor circulation can cause the veins, just underneath the surface of the skin on your legs to become swollen, twisting, and even just very visible. They can also become itchy and even painful.
12. Tightening of the chest and difficulty in breathing
When you have poor blood flow and poor circulation, your heart doesn’t get as much blood flow as it normally should. This can cause you to feel tightening or increased pressure in your chest, shortness of breath, or difficulty in breathing.
13. Frequent exhaustion and lack of energy
This is because when your circulatory system slows down. It’s no longer has the capacity to deliver oxygen. The nutrients of vitamins and minerals are more important hormones that surround your body as they should.
